A pen everyone knows, blown up to the size of the room.
You have held a BIC Cristal a thousand times. Signed a lease with one. Doodled through a meeting. Handed one to a stranger and never got it back. This lamp is that pen, scaled up twelve times, glowing softly against the wall.
The proportions are exact. The translucent barrel. The pointed blue cap. The tiny plug at the base where the ink cartridge used to be, now trailing a real cobalt cable across your floor or up your wall. It looks like a prop from a film about a world where objects grew.
That is what Mario Paroli does. A Seletti collaboration with BIC and one of the more talked-about Italian designers of the moment. Numbered. Ready to ship. Numbers on this run are limited.
